What is natal & neonatal teeth care?
Natal teeth are teeth present at birth, and neonatal teeth appear within the first month of life. They are uncommon and usually affect the lower front teeth. Some are early baby teeth, while others are extra teeth with little root. These teeth can be loose, cause sores on the baby's tongue (Riga-Fede disease), make breastfeeding painful for the mother, or pose a risk if a very loose tooth is swallowed or inhaled.
