What is inlays & onlays?
Inlays and onlays are custom-made restorations for back teeth that have damage too large for a simple filling but not enough to need a full crown. An inlay fits within the grooves of the tooth, while an onlay also covers one or more of the chewing cusps. Because they replace only the damaged part of the tooth, inlays and onlays preserve much more healthy natural tooth structure than a crown, in line with our minimally invasive, tooth-saving approach.
